Accelerated aging test simulates real-time aging using high temperatures to artificially accelerate the aging process. This test allows manufacturers to market their products faster. Accelerated aging is optional, but real-time aging is required when setting an expiry date.

Real-time aging is done under normal storage conditions. Additional tests are performed after aging to achieve packaging and / or product performance.
Accelerated Aging testing can be run to simulate a time span ranging from 1 month to 5 years (or longer). The simulated aging time depends on the temperature at which the products are kept. For example, 25 weeks at 55 ° C using 6.5 ° C ambient temperature equals 1 year on the shelf. In these parameters, 13 weeks would equal 2 years on the shelf and 32.5 weeks would equal 5 years on the shelf.
After specimens are aged, they are removed from the room and brought back to room temperature. Following aging, samples can be returned to you for further inspection (such as functionality tests) or we can test samples to confirm stability (i.e. pack integrity / microbial aerosol barrier challenge, seal shell or others).
Suggested replicates: You can keep as many samples as you like. The number of samples should be based on the number of time periods to be examined and the tests to be performed after aging.
EUROLAB, with its highly expert team and internationally accredited laboratories, Accelerated Aging Tests It performs all test, analysis, measurement, evaluation and report generation services completely and reliably.
