Molecular Diagnostic Tests

Molecular Diagnostic Tests

Molecular diagnostic tests or molecular diagnostic tests are test methods that combine laboratory tests with the precision of molecular biology and in clinical and public health laboratories to investigate human, viral and microbial genomes, their genes and the products they encode.

Molecular Diagnostic Tests

Molecular diagnostic tests are increasingly used today. These testing methods have replaced numerous traditional tests in many areas of laboratory medicine, particularly in oncology, infectious diseases, clinical chemistry, and clinical genetics. With advances in molecular diagnostic tests, the ability to detect microbial pathogens or analyze a patient's genes continues to increase accuracy and speed.

Today, the quality of clinical laboratory tests and the molecular tools used in clinical practice continue to evolve. One of these tools is the MALDI-TOF MS device. This device is used for microbial identification and diagnosis. During the MALDI-TOF MS process, microbes are identified using either intact cells or cell extracts. The process is fast, precise and economical in terms of both labor and costs. This technology has been easily adopted by microbiologists for purposes such as microbial identification and strain typing of the MALDI-TOF MS device, epidemiological studies, detection of biological warfare agents, and detection of water and foodborne pathogens.

Molecular diagnostics is a powerful and sensitive technique widely applied to identify biomarkers in a genome by detecting bacterial genes and measuring the transferred bacterial infection-specific proteins.

Molecular diagnostics, also called molecular pathology, involves taking DNA or RNA, the genetic code found in cells, and analyzing sequences that can identify the potential occurrence of a particular disease. This field has expanded rapidly in recent years. Today, there are mainly four areas of molecular diagnostics: infectious diseases, hematopathology, genetics and solid tumor. These tests are typically done (by examining the DNA sequencing) to determine if patients have a gene mutation associated with a particular disease, either inherited or acquired.

Our organization also provides molecular diagnostic testing services with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it provides for businesses in various sectors.
