The ammunition controls how each component and system behaves in a high temperature environment. These tests assess the probability of failure due to mechanical defects, material degradation, and parameter variations. Usually this assessment is done in parallel with Method 502.6 Low Temperature.

MIL-STD (Military Standards) is a military standard created by the US Department of Defense and established by the US Army Developmental Test Command. Usually this standard applies primarily to military equipment, but can also be applied to a variety of general commercial products.
The test method examines the durability of the product when exposed to high temperatures. This method also examines the functional capability of the device at extremely high temperatures.
The performance of products exposed to moisture for a long time will be low. It damages the coating, destroys the fuel and spoils the electrical equipment. Humidity testing examines how components and systems perform in environments with varying relative humidity. These tests assess the probability of failure due to water supply or frost formation, turbidity, and watertightness failure.
