Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, is a water-soluble vitamin that helps the body metabolize fats, carbohydrates, and protein. Like all water-soluble vitamins, biotin is not stored in the body and daily intake is required.

Vitamin B7 cannot be synthesized by human cells, but is produced by bacteria in the body and is found in many foods. Some people take vitamin B7 supplements to strengthen their nails and hair, but evidence to support this use is lacking.
Nutritional sources include meat, eggs, seeds and nuts. Supplements are unlikely to cause harm, but have not been proven to help hair, skin, and nail health.
Animal studies show that biotin stimulates the secretion of insulin from the pancreas and subsequently lowers blood sugar.
It also helps reduce nerve damage in people with diabetes or those on dialysis for kidney disease.
Biotin (vitamin B7) deficiency is rare in humans. Biotin is commonly found in whole foods, and good gut bacteria can synthesize more biotin than the body normally needs.
In our organization, testing, analysis, measurement, and evaluation studies comply with national and international standards and current legal regulations, ensuring reliable and impartial results. These studies are based on state-of-the-art technological equipment, a trained and experienced staff, and modern methods. Among the numerous tests conducted within this scope are analyses of food product follow-on formulas and vitamin B7 (biotin) analysis services.
