Connective tissue is the tissue that connects, separates, and supports all types of tissue in the body. Like other types of tissue, it consists of cells surrounded by a chamber of fluid. However, connective tissue is not tight, but loosely located within the fluid compartment of its cells. Depending on the cells present and the fluid compartment structure, there are two types of connective tissue. Appropriate connective tissue and specialized connective tissue. Suitable connective tissue is further divided into loose and dense connective tissues. Specialized connective tissue is blood, bone, cartilage and adipose tissue. Connective tissue is the glue that holds all other tissues together, and its main function is to keep the body systems working in harmony.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body. It provides structure to the skin and helps blood to clot. It has recently been added to body lotions and shampoos as a nutritional supplement. On the other hand, collagen is the basic building material that makes up the connective tissue.
Hydroxyproline, an amino acid derivative, is an important component of protein collagen and plays an important role in collagen stability. It is also used as an indicator to determine the amount of collagen. An increased level of hydroxyproline in the urine is normally associated with disruption of connective tissue.
In our organization, testing, analysis, measurement, and evaluation studies comply with national and international standards and current legal regulations, ensuring reliable and unbiased results. Among the numerous tests conducted within this scope are quality tests – collagen and hydroxyproline analysis (connective tissue analysis) services.
