GLP Analysis

GLP Analysis

GLP is an abbreviation for Good Laboratory Practice. Good laboratory practices (GLP) are a set of principles aimed at ensuring the quality and integrity of non-clinical laboratory work. This approach is most commonly associated with the pharmaceutical industry and non-clinical animal testing required before the approval of new drug products. However, good laboratory practices also apply to many other non-pharmaceutical products such as color additives, food additives, food contamination limits, food packaging, and medical devices.

GLP Analysis

The important point here is that good laboratory practice (GLP) applies only to non-clinical studies and tests. Clinical trials are governed by good clinical practice (GCP) and other regulations aimed at maintaining safety.

GLP is a quality management system, not a scientific management system. In this context, it defines a set of quality standards for conducting studies, collecting data and reporting results, otherwise it does not define scientific standards.

On the other hand, an important component of the GLP quality standards system is quality assurance. The purpose of quality assurance is to verify that all written procedures have been followed throughout the study.

In short, in the field of experimental (non-clinical) research, good laboratory practices are a quality management control system for research laboratories aimed at ensuring the uniformity, consistency, reliability, reproducibility, quality, and integrity of products being developed for human use.

In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. GLP analysis services are among the numerous tests carried out in this context.
