Round-head threaded pins defined in the DIN 1476 standard published by the German Institute for Standardization (DIN) have three equally spaced longitudinal tapered grooves that enlarge the diameter of the pin. When inserted into the drilled hole of the appropriate diameter, the enlarged diameter of the pin is pressed back to the nominal diameter. As the pin tries to expand to a larger diameter, the force against the wall of the hole tightens the fit. This creates holding power against shock and vibration.

Similarly, the ISO 8746 standard published by the International Standards Organization (ISO) also describes the requirements for round head threaded pins (ISO 8746 Round head threaded pins).
Requirements for round head threaded pins are included in the DIN 1474 standard under the following headings:
Stainless steels for DIN 1476 ball head threaded pins are divided into three groups: austenitic, ferritic and martensitic. Austenitic steel is by far the most common type (more than 90 percent of commercial fasteners). Steel groups and strength classes are indicated with four-digit letters and numbers as shown in the table in the standard. The DIN EN ISO 3506 standard contains the requirements for screws and nuts made of stainless steel.
Round-head chamfered pins are designed to be inserted with a hammer. These components have a tapered tip and a splined shaft for added vibration resistance. These pins are produced in different diameters and lengths ranging from 3 mm to 25 mm.
The production of these pins is also based on the ASME/ANSI B18.8.2 Grooved pins standard developed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it has given for businesses in various sectors, our organization, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, for round head threaded pins within the scope of DIN 1476 standard and for round head threaded pins within the scope of ISO 8746 standard. It also provides testing services.
