Metric threaded rods, defined in the DIN 975 standard published by the German Standardization Institute (DIN), are 1 m long rods that are threaded along their entire length. They are similar to the threaded shaft of a screw or bolt, but tend to be longer. Unlike screws or bolts, they have no heads. All threaded rod is also known as full threaded rod, continuous threaded rod or re-rod. It is designed for use in stretching and/or stabilizing objects together. Metric threaded rods are manufactured from steel and stainless steel. Threaded rods are produced in brass, steel and stainless steel, with diameters ranging from M2 to M48.

The requirements in the DIN 975 standard are under the following headings:
Threaded rods are metal rods with a continuous thread along the entire length of the rod. The threaded rod has no head. Threaded rods are used with hex nuts or fixtures with internal threaded holes. It is generally used where large screw loads are required. The threaded rod can be used for many different purposes, such as a hanger bolt or anchor bolt. The threaded rod can also be used with rod ends as part of a control assembly or with a turnbuckle as part of a tensioning assembly. Metric threaded rod is manufactured in many different material and property classes such as stainless steel, brass, aluminum and nylon. The pitch of the teeth allows more linear motion with fewer turns in the screw compared to regular coarse-toothed or fine-threaded rods.
In short, threaded rods are long, solid cylindrical rods that are continuously threaded end-to-end with external machine threads. They are typically 1 meter long. They are similar to threaded studs. These rods are used in a variety of fastening applications, especially when a long fastener is required but its length exceeds that of existing bolts.
Our organization also provides testing services for threaded rods within the scope of DIN 975 standard, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it provides for businesses in various sectors.
