VDE Verlag is a Berlin-based German organization specializing in electrical engineering and information technology. This organization has developed more than 3,500 DIN-VDE standards and VDE requirements.

The DIN and VDE electronic information technology standards published by the DKE (German Electrical Engineering Commission) are part of the German standards collection. These electrotechnical safety standards are given a VDE classification number and are included in the VDE Specifications Safety Standards Code.
VDE standards are regulations regarding the safety of products and equipment and generally comply with European (EN) standards. Since the adoption of the first electrotechnical standard, the VDE 0100 standard, in 1895, VDE standards have been an integral part of the development of core technologies in electrical engineering, information technology and consumer protection. DKE is a joint organization of the German Institute for Standardization (DIN) and the VDE. This organization is responsible for the day-to-day operations of DKE, the national organization responsible for developing standards and safety regulations for electrical, electronic and information technologies. DKE also represents German interests at the European and international standardization organizations CENELEC and IEC.
The basic structure of German DIN-VDE standards is as follows:
Today the VDE mark has become a worldwide symbol for the safety and quality of electrical appliances, components and systems and is the key to its access to international markets. The VDE mark has been used since 1920 to certify electrotechnical and electronic products as well as information technologies that are safe for consumers and fulfill legal obligations.
Our organization also provides VDE standards electrical testing services with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it provides for businesses in various sectors.
