Similarly, the ISO 8673 standard published by the International Standards Organization (ISO) describes the geometry of hex nuts with nominal thread diameters from 8 mm to 64 mm (inclusive) and the mechanical properties of hex regular nuts (style 1) (ISO 8673 Metric fine hex regular nuts with pitch thread, style 1 - Product grades A and B). This standard includes metric fine pitch threaded hex nuts of product class A for nominal thread diameters from 8 mm to 16 mm and product class B for nominal diameters from 16 mm to 39 mm.
Another ISO standard, 8674, covers hexagonal high nuts (style 8) with metric fine pitch threads with nominal thread diameters from 36 mm to 2 mm, product class A for sizes larger than 16 mm and product class A for sizes larger than 16 mm.
