UN ECE R107 tests cover a series of tests carried out in accordance with the relevant regulation for the evaluation and approval of the general structure of M2 or M3 category vehicles.

ECE regulations define cross-border technical regulations for establishing approval or uniform approval procedures for motor vehicles and motor vehicle parts. Automated commercial vehicles are already fully eligible for approval only through appropriate individual measures in the country in which they will be used. What is missing is a set of rules at the international ECE level.
Regulation 107 of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN/ECE) — It covers the uniform provisions regarding the approval of M2 or M3 category vehicles in terms of their general structure and the tests applied accordingly.
This Regulation applies to any single-deck, double-decker, stationary or articulated vehicle of category M2 or M3. The requirements of this Regulation only apply to the following vehicles to the extent that they are compatible with their intended use and function:
Vehicles pass a full general construction test, with issues such as the strength of superstructures, protection against fire risks, electrical equipment safety, interior safety.
Within the scope of the regulation, many mechanical, dynamic and environmental tests are carried out as well as measurements for the approval of the relevant equipment. For tests to be considered successful, test results must meet regulatory requirements.
