UN ECE R119 tests cover a series of tests carried out in accordance with the relevant regulation for the evaluation of vehicles in the categories specified in the regulation in terms of cornering lights.

ECE regulations define cross-border technical regulations for establishing approval or uniform approval procedures for motor vehicles and motor vehicle parts. Automated commercial vehicles are already fully eligible for approval only through appropriate individual measures in the country in which they will be used. What is missing is a set of rules at the international ECE level.
United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN/ECE) Regulation No. 119 — Covers the uniform provisions for the approval of cornering lights for powered vehicles and the tests applied accordingly.
This Regulation applies to cornering lights for vehicles of category M, N and T. Cornering light means a lamp used to provide supplemental illumination of that part of the road near the front corner of the vehicle on the side on which the vehicle will turn.
Corner lamps must be designed and constructed in such a way that, in normal use, they will continue to operate satisfactorily and maintain the characteristics set forth in this Regulation, despite the vibration to which they may be subjected.
In the case of Light source modules, the design of the Light source module(s) will be as follows:
The light source module(s) must be tamper-proof. A light source module shall be so designed that it cannot be mechanically replaced by any approved replaceable light source, regardless of the use of the instrument(s).
Within the scope of the regulation, many mechanical, dynamic and environmental tests are carried out as well as measurements for the approval of the relevant equipment. For tests to be considered successful, test results must meet regulatory requirements.
