The ISO 15025 standard , published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), includes two test methods for determining the flame spread properties of vertically oriented flexible materials in the form of single or multi-component fabrics (coated, quilted, multilayered, sandwich structures and similar combinations) when exposed to a small, defined flame:

These test methods are not applicable to situations where other test methods are more suitable, restricted air supply or exposure to large sources of intense heat. On the other hand, these test methods are not considered suitable for materials that show excessive melting or shrinkage.
The test methods mentioned above are closely related to the test method defined in the ISO 6941 standard (EN ISO 6941 Textile fabrics - Combustion behavior - Measurement of flame propagation properties of vertically oriented samples). The EN ISO 15025 standard uses the same basic equipment as the ISO 6941 test method, but narrower sample holders and templates for one procedure. Materials that do not burn up to the top or vertical edges of the test specimen used in this test can be classified as producing limited flame spread.
The test methods defined in the EN ISO 15025 standard are for evaluating the properties of textile fabrics in response to a brief contact with a small igniting flame under controlled conditions. The effect of stitches on the behavior of fabrics is determined by this method and the stitch is positioned within the test sample so that it is exposed to the test flame. To the extent possible, trims are tested as part of the fabric assembly on which they are or will be used.
Our organization, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it has given for businesses in various sectors, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, single or multi-component fabrics (coated, quilted, multi-layered, sandwich structures and similar) within the scope of ISO 15025 standard. It also provides testing services to determine the flame propagation properties of vertically oriented flexible materials (combinations) when exposed to a small defined flame.
