ASTM C1252-17, published by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), defines test methods for determining the loose, uncompressed void content of a fine aggregate sample. When measured on any aggregate of a known grade, the void content gives an indication of the angularity, sphericity, and surface texture of that aggregate when compared to other fine aggregates tested at the same grade.

This standard includes three procedures for measuring void content. Two of these use graded fine aggregate (standard grading or received grading), while the other uses several separate size fractions to determine void content:
Test methods A and B give the percent void content determined under standard conditions that depends on the particle shape and texture of a fine aggregate. An increase in void content with these procedures indicates greater angularity, less sphericity, rougher surface texture, or combinations thereof. Test method C measures the uncompressed void content of the received material.
Our organization, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it has given for businesses in various sectors, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, within the scope of ASTM C1252-17 standard, for the uncompressed void content of fine aggregate (particle shape, surface texture and grading). It also provides standard testing services.
