The ISO 6270-1 standard published by the International Standards Organization (ISO) defines a test method for determining the resistance of paint films, paint systems and related products to condensation conditions in accordance with the requirements of coating or product specifications. This test method is applied to coatings on both porous surfaces such as wood, plaster and drywall, and non-porous surfaces such as metal. The test results provide an indication of the performance likely to be achieved under severe exposure conditions where continuous condensation occurs on the surface. This test method can reveal defects in the coating (including blistering, spotting, softening, wrinkling and embrittlement) and degradation of the substrate. The shape and preparation of test specimens, the duration of the test and the evaluation of test results are not covered by this standard.

This document aims to provide consistent conditions and procedures for conditioning pre-prepared test specimens that will be evaluated for defects that may occur when exposed to humid environmental conditions such as stationary condensate atmospheres or alternating condensate atmospheres .
This test method is designed to clarify the behavior of test specimens in humid atmospheres and to detect any defects in the corrosion protection of test specimens. However, testing coatings in these atmospheres does not necessarily yield lifetime prediction data. After conditioning, test specimens are evaluated either according to agreed documents, such as the appropriate parts of the ISO 4628 standard, or according to procedures agreed upon between interested parties.
In fact, the ISO 6270 standard consists of the following sections under the heading "Paints and varnishes - Determination of resistance to moisture":
Our organization, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it has given for businesses in various sectors, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, within the scope of the ISO 6270-1 standard, within the framework of the determination of the resistance of paints and varnishes against moisture (unilateral exposure). ) also provides testing services.
