TSM 0500G Flammability Test Method for Non-Metallic Interior Materials

TSM 0500G Flammability Test Method for Non-Metallic Interior Materials

The Torque Servo Modules (TSM) technology offered as standard enables a robot to mimic human motion with excellent flexibility and stability. 29 body parts (including ten fingers) have full range of motion for a smooth, synchronized experience.

TSM 0500G Flammability Test Method for Non-Metallic Interior Materials

The TSM 0500G standard defines a test method for the flammability of non-metallic materials used in automobile interiors. The test apparatus used during this test consists of a metal cabinet and burner and a U-shaped clamp. When this test method is applied with a test method corresponding to the GB8410 standard, which is a Chinese standard, it is carried out using a test device described in the "test cabinet made of steel plate" section of this standard. In such a case, it should be stated in the test report that the test device corresponding to the GB8410 standard is used.

Users of the TSM 0500G standard undertake the following confidentiality obligations:

  • When the documents in this standard are no longer needed due to termination of work or revision of the current version of this standard, the user must shred or burn them, or return them to Toyota Motor Corporation, if appropriate.
  • This standard and related technical information is owned by Toyota Motor Corporation and is under its sole control. It should not be given to third parties in whole or in part without the prior written consent of this company.

The following major changes have been made in the last update of this standard.

  • Consistency has been achieved with the ISO 3795 standard (Road vehicles and tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry - Determination of combustion behavior of interior materials) and a Chinese standard GB8410-2006 (Flammability of automotive interior materials) published by the International Standards Organization (ISO).
  • Test piece conditioning related to humidity has been changed.
  • Test environment conditions have been changed.
  • A tolerance has been added to the distance between the comparison marks (A) and (B).
  • Natural gas has been added to the gas types.

Among the numerous tests, measurements, analyses, and evaluations our organization provides for businesses in various sectors, we also offer flammability testing services for non-metallic interior materials under the TSM 0500G standard, utilizing a trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
