SEPAP 12/24 is the result of extensive work carried out by a French university photochemistry laboratory. SEPAP has been specially adapted to conduct accelerated photoaging tests under controlled conditions. SEPAP 12/24 is mainly used to study the photo-degradation mechanism of the polymeric formula in ions under laboratory conditions and to monitor the following material properties:

Combined with analytical techniques to evaluate the chemical evolution of polymers and certain additives such as stabilizers, SEPAP 12/24 tests are used to develop photo-stable or photochemically degradable compounds as well as predict the lifetime of polymeric matrices.
Briefly, SEPAP 12-24 tests are test methods developed for accelerated photography of polymers to understand the aging systems of polymers exposed outdoors and to investigate chemical evolution at the molecular level. These tests use a mercury vapor lamp and the device amplifies and accelerates the chemical systems responsible for the gradual loss of properties of polymers over their lifetime.
The SEPAP testers used in the tests were developed based on numerous studies on photo-aging processes affecting polymer materials by analyzing chemical changes at the molecular level exposed to both climatic stress and accelerated conditions. This allows the development of photo-stable formulations in a short time as well as predicting the service life of polymers.
Designed as an analytical tool to understand the degradation mechanisms of naturally aging polymers at the molecular level, the SEPAP unit reproduces chemical changes under accelerated, controlled laboratory conditions, achieved by long-term, natural weathering conditions where similar changes in macroscopic properties (such as mechanical, aesthetic) are expected. . In this respect, advanced analytical and chemical expertise, experience, and materials infrastructure are required to ensure the SEPAP methodology works optimally.
A few standards applied in these tests are: DIN EN 13206, DIN EN 16472, EN 50289-4-17 and ISO 10640.
Among the numerous tests, measurements, analyses, and evaluations our organization provides for businesses in various sectors, we also offer SEPAP 12/24 separation mechanistic approach polymer photoaging testing services with our trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
