In the DBL 5555 standard published by the Daimler automobile company, the general conditions of finished parts and semi-finished products made of organic polymer materials are described and test methods are defined. This standard contains specifications governing the general technical conditions of supply for the quality assurance of materials used in finished parts and semi-finished products made of organic polymer materials. This includes thermosetting plastics and thermoplastics, thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and elastomers (rubber materials).

The supplier company, under its own responsibility, is obliged to apply the requirements of these general technical supply conditions to the product to be supplied by it. In case of doubt, the procedure is coordinated with the quality assurance department of the receiving facility or the relevant specialist production and materials engineering department prior to delivery.
The supplier company must implement an effective quality system that ensures comprehensive monitoring from raw materials to finished products and fulfillment of the specified quality and safety requirements for the product. The raw material supplier and the parts supplier should coordinate their work to ensure proper machinability before sampling. Each production batch must be marked and kept separate from other batches. It is important that finished products can be traced back to the raw material or semi-finished product and their marking makes it possible to identify which products come from a particular batch of raw materials.
A new sampling and publication process is required if the following changes occur:
The supplier company may use similar raw materials from different manufacturers. If the raw materials are not chemically or physically identical, however, he must prove, through his own research and evaluation, that the finished part meets the requirements of the relevant standard supply specification and that no disadvantages have arisen in terms of processing or use. This result is submitted to the quality assurance department of the receiving facility or, in case of impacts involving more than one facility, to the relevant specialist production and materials engineering department.
Our organization also provides testing services for finished parts and semi-finished products made of organic polymer materials, within the scope of the DBL 5555 standard, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it provides for businesses in various sectors.
