Quality of Hyundai Kia MS211-46 Unreinforced PA66 (Polyamide 66)
The quality of unreinforced PA211 (polyamide 46) compound is defined in the standard “Hyundai Kia MS66-66 Quality of Unreinforced PA66 (polyamide 66)” developed by Hyundai-Kia Motors Company, the oldest motor vehicle manufacturing company in Korea.

This unreinforced PA66 compound is classified into 5 types as shown in the table given in the standard. This material is used in injection molded parts of the vehicle as indicated in the drawings.
In the table titled “Types and application” the type classification is made as follows:
- Type A: General, easy removal, high crystallinity (belt clip, cable tie, holder).
- Type B: Heat resistance (box, hose assembly, connector).
- Type C1: General impact resistance (control valve, fuse box).
- Type C2: High impact resistance (bonnet support bar clip).
- Type D1: Wear resistance (door control lever).
- Type D2: Wear resistance (speedometer, driven gear shaft).
In terms of general requirements, parts using this material must comply with all requirements of the relevant assembly performance specification. The chemical composition and processing conditions that may affect the quality of the parts should not be changed inappropriately. Before changing the chemical composition of the material, it is necessary to consult with the material and quality departments. The final parts made of this material should be free from defects, uneven gloss, burn marks, warpage, silver lines, cracks, uneven color, flow marks, weld lines, sink marks or other defects.
To determine the detailed requirements, this material is tested by the methods specified in the standard and must conform to the requirements specified in the table titled “Detailed requirements”.
