The standard “ISUZU ISC-F22-020 Test procedures for basic performance of interior and exterior plastic parts” developed by ISUZU, one of the leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles and diesel engines in Japan and the world, describes the test procedures for determining the performance of interior and exterior plastic parts of all vehicle models. This standard includes test procedures and standards for basic performance of the above parts for temporary use before the completion of standardization.

This standard specifies test procedures to evaluate the essential performance of automotive interior and exterior plastic parts used on all vehicle models, primarily for decorative purposes, in terms of materials, methods, shapes and construction.
A test piece shall be a completed part, equivalent to a part from series production. Tests shall be carried out with the test pieces assembled under normal conditions of use (as if the parts were fitted to a vehicle or equivalent). The tools or cut bodies used to assemble the test pieces shall be of dimensions with tolerances specified on the drawings. The assembly parts shall be the same or equivalent to those on a vehicle in terms of material, thickness and surface finish. If any adjacent parts are in contact, tests shall be carried out including the adjacent parts. Fixings for the test pieces shall be the same or equivalent to those used on a vehicle and shall be fastened with the standard tightening torque at its upper limit unless otherwise specified. If the adjacent parts are too large to be tested, a portion of the adjacent parts in contact with the test piece may be cut off to such an extent that the test piece is not affected, unless the test procedures are otherwise specified in this standard.
The standard atmospheric conditions of the laboratory shall comply with the JIS Z 8703-1983 standard (standard atmospheric temperature condition of 23 degrees plus/minus 5 degrees temperature and standard atmospheric humidity condition of 65 percent plus/minus 10 percent relative humidity). If the laboratory atmospheric conditions cannot be maintained within these standards, the reasons shall be confirmed in advance by the relevant Isuzu engineers.
Test pieces shall be manufactured at least 24 hours or more prior to testing and held for 24 hours or more under defined standard atmospheric temperature and humidity conditions.
Unless otherwise specified, the number of test pieces shall be three or more. If two parts are opposed to each other, the number of test pieces for each part shall be three or more. In the case of a multi-cavity mold, the number of test pieces for each part produced in a molding cycle shall be three or more. Similarly, in the case of producing identical parts by two or more molds, the number of test pieces for each part produced by each mold shall be three or more.
The test procedures described in this standard are:
The ISUZU ISC-F22-020 standard is important because it ensures quality, consistency and compatibility for ISUZU automotive components and systems, especially in the design, manufacturing or inspection processes. This standard is a technical or engineering standard published by ISUZU that defines specific material, performance or dimensional requirements for a component. It generally concerns fasteners, electrical components or structural elements. This standard ensures that all parts, whether manufactured in-house or from suppliers, meet consistent specifications, ensuring reliable vehicle performance and safety. Suppliers must comply with ISC-F22-020 and similar standards to ensure that manufactured parts are compatible with ISUZU vehicles. Many of these standards include international safety and environmental regulations. Compliance with these can help ISUZU vehicles meet the requirements of different markets.
Our organization, which has been trying to support businesses from every sector with its testing, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies carried out in a wide range for years, has a strong staff that closely follows the developments in the world in the field of science and technology and constantly improves itself. In this context, testing services are also provided to businesses in accordance with the "ISUZU ISC-F22-020 Test procedures for the basic performance of interior and exterior plastic parts" standard.
