Renault Nissan RNDS-C-00075 Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Device

The "Renault Nissan RNDS-C-00075 Heating, ventilation and air conditioning unit" standard, developed jointly by the French Renault automobile company and the Nissan automobile company, describes the requirements for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning unit.

Renault Nissan RNDS-C-00075 Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Device

This specification replaces the following two previous specifications:

  • Renault: 32-02-026-A
  • Nissan: 27100NDS01, 27110NDS00, (partially 27200NDS00, partially 27270NDS00)

In terms of the supplier's responsibilities, the standard “00-10-415 Manufacture and supply of products - General requirements” applies in full to the existing technical specifications, unless otherwise formally stated and explicitly written.

When a change is made (in material, mould or similar part) that may affect function or performance, the supplier must submit the relevant details and test results in writing to the responsible engineering of Renault-Nissan in advance.

For kindergarten buses and similar vehicles, check that there are holes in the heater unit assembly that small children can easily reach and cannot get their fingers out of once installed. For such vehicles, check that the heater unit is of a construction that does not have screws that can be removed at dealerships, service centers, or similar places, and that are not directly accessible. The body, evaporator core, expansion valve, and inlet and outlet pipes must be designed so that they do not interfere with each other, even under vibration test and pipe strength test conditions, and due consideration must be given to manufacturing differences between parts and to assembly accuracy.

In terms of the terms of the agreement and approval, in addition to the documents cited in the relevant paragraph “Supplier results” of the standard “Synthesis table of tools and procedures based on ANPQP results 73-00-026”, the supplier must provide a predictive reliability analysis file and all information it deems useful to demonstrate the ability of its product to meet reliability requirements.

Six months after the start of series production, the supplier must provide Renault/Nissan with the results of enhanced, representative audits of the production process distribution.

In addition and complement to ANPQP, Renault/Nissan requires:

  • Synthesis of component verification plan
  • Test reports
  • Dimensional results
  • Component quality control plan
  • Process capability studies

When a change is made (in material, mould or similar part) that may affect function or performance, the supplier must provide the relevant details and test results in writing to the Renault-Nissan responsible engineering in advance. When a new motor drive circuit is supplied, the absence of parasitic oscillations must be verified and reported.

In terms of the terms of the agreement and acceptance, in addition to the documents quoted in the relevant paragraph “Supplier results” of the standard “Synthesis table of tools and procedures based on ANPQP results 73-00-026”, the supplier must provide:

  • A reliability verification file according to the “Reliability/Durability” paragraph.
  • A technical data sheet stating the performances of the manufactured product guaranteed by the supplier.
  • A synthesis file that defines the nature of the various quality agreements signed with component or material suppliers, together with one or more material reference sheets (in accordance with standard 00-10-420). This material reference sheet must list all materials used to produce the same part, regardless of the manufacturing location.
  • A file defining the melt flow index for all plastic materials used (measured according to test method D45 1052).
  • Any information that he considers useful to demonstrate his capacity to supply a reliable product (reliability of the product and capability of the means of production).

The supplier shall ensure that the delivered air conditioners comply with the approved product description and that the components meet the requirements of the functional drawings and specifications.

For certain equipment and upon request of the Renault/Nissan engineering department, test results must be archived according to the directives of the purchasing department.

Additional quality controls (acceptance, production monitoring) that prove necessary may be foreseen by Renault/Nissan based on the required characteristics stated in the drawings and current specifications.

Among the numerous tests, measurements, analyses and evaluations our organization has carried out for businesses in various sectors, it also provides testing services defined in the “Renault Nissan RNDS-C-00075 Heating ventilation air conditioning device” standard with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
