The ISO 7637 series of standards, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), presents test methods for electrical disturbances in road vehicles caused by transmission and coupling. This standard is an international electromagnetic compatibility vehicle standard relating to 12 and 24 volt electrical systems.

Essentially, the ISO 637 standard consists of the following standards under the main title "Highway vehicles - Electrical disturbances caused by transmission and connection":
In the ISO 7637-1 standard, basic terms related to electrical disturbances caused by transmission and coupling used in other parts of the ISO 7637 standard are defined, and general information about the entire series of standards is presented.
The ISO 7637-2 standard defines test methods and procedures to ensure the compatibility of equipment installed in passenger cars and commercial vehicles equipped with 12 V or 24 V electrical systems to conducted electrical transients. Also described are bench tests for both injection and measurement of transients. This standard is applicable to all types of road vehicles, regardless of the propulsion system (e.g. spark ignition or diesel engine, electric motor). Function performance status classification is also provided for immunity to transients.
The ISO 7637-3 standard defines bench test methods for assessing the immunity of devices under test to transient impulses connected to lines other than supply lines. The following three test methods are described in this standard:
Ensuring compliance with ISO 7637-4 standard to electrical transients conducted along shielded high voltage supply lines of equipment installed in passenger cars and commercial vehicles equipped with electrical systems with voltage higher than 60 V direct current or less than 1500 V direct current and equipped with a power source isolated from the vehicle body Test methods and procedures are described for
The ISO 7637-5 standard defines extended definitions and verification methods for pulse generators necessary for harmonizing different generators used in pulse testing, in order to ensure comparability and repeatability of test results regardless of generator type .
Among the numerous tests, measurements, analyses, and evaluations our organization provides for businesses in various sectors, we also offer testing services for electrical faults in road vehicles caused by transmission and connection issues, in accordance with the ISO 7637 standard, thanks to our trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
