The standard “Renault 39-06-008 Hoses for cooling circuits”, developed by the French automobile company Renault, describes the specifications required for hoses for cooling circuits equipping gasoline, diesel, electric and hybrid engines.

The classification is made according to the principle of the standard “Renault 01-33-301 Hierarchical classification”. Each paragraph or drawing referring to this standard has a total classification.
The standard “Renault 00-10-415 Production and supply of products - General requirements” is fully applicable to these specifications, unless explicit written instructions to the contrary are given. The supplier undertakes to adhere to a quality assurance approach with Renault and to meet the alliance new product quality procedure expectations.
If the items specified in these specifications are not sufficient to design and validate the part, the supplier has the responsibility to request additional data from Renault, either directly from the supplier or in the form of measurements or tests to be performed by the supplier on the relevant parts and units. It is also the responsibility of the supplier to propose innovative solutions with advanced technological supporting arguments.
The conditions for approval are considered in conjunction with the following standards:
These standards are fully applicable to these specifications unless express written indications to the contrary are given.
The supplier must provide a complete verification folder as defined in this standard. Before any changes are made to the parts, the supplier must provide a new complete verification folder with the version of the change corresponding to the parts being replaced. The supplier must also provide all information deemed necessary to demonstrate that its product meets the reliability requirements. All Renault test procedures and standards must be in accordance with the latest available version when creating the file.
The sample can be checked by Renault at any time between the receipt of the parts and the storage period. The definition and frequency of inspection tests are defined according to the specific nature of the part and the quality assurance plan of the supplier company.
Parts are identified in accordance with the standard “Renault 00-10-501 Renault / partners parts marking”. If oil change cleaning is used, the marking must comply with the standard “RNES-A-00001 Material marking specifications”. Only approved products are delivered to Renault.
In addition to the specifics of each test, the specification requests and test procedures used, the supplier test report must include at least the following general information:
In the production of parts, the drawings must be compatible with the model drawing for cooling system hoses provided by Renault.
The hoses and pipes delivered must be consistent with the initial samples in appearance and general condition. The pipes must retain their shape after vulcanization. The pipes must meet the performance required, regardless of the manufacturing process used. They must be free from blisters and other defects that could impair their performance in relation to these product specifications. The outer surface must not exhibit any discoloration resulting from the migration of substances in the rubber compound to the surface.
The final part geometry must comply with the overall positioning tolerances of plus/minus 6 mm at each point compared to the supplier's numerical definition. The positioning of the final filled parts must be compatible with the vehicle positioning for the new parts and after resistance to cyclic pressure at nominal pressure and temperature. For rubber hoses, the dimensioning and shape of flexible hoses must comply with the standard unless otherwise specified by Renault. For plastic hoses, the dimensioning, shape and tolerances must comply with the requirements of the Renault 39-06-478 standard.
The dimensioning of the relevant external end inserts is defined by the Renault 01-57-000 standard. According to this standard, all verifications of current product specifications including an end insert are performed at the worst case tolerances for the requested test.
The materials used must comply with the requirements of the standard “RNES-B-00027 Prohibited or restricted substances in parts - List and declaration modes”. The rubber material product properties must be verified according to the Renault 30-00-118 standard. Samples from the consolidated fiber mixture must be cut parallel to the final milling direction. Sulfur-based vulcanization is prohibited. The main polymer materials of the parts (excluding overmolding, splicing or deflection) must comply with the Renault standards. Otherwise, the material proposal follows the special exemption process and is submitted to Renault for approval.
In this standard, component quality is defined under the headings of adhesion between the constituent elements of the hose and plastic part quality.
Among the numerous tests, measurements, analyses and evaluations our organization has carried out for businesses in various sectors, it also provides testing services defined in the “Renault 39-06-008 Hoses for Cooling Circuits” standard with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
