In the DIN 75202 standard published by the German Standardization Institute (DIN), the test procedures for determining the color stability and aging behavior of colored or printed organic materials of any type are defined against the influence of artificial light proportional to normal D 65 type light (daylight) and under all processing conditions. . The test method described in the DIN 5033-7 standard, on the other hand, includes a method against the effect of heat only behind the window glass and at the same time. Test procedures specifically allow for light and heat conditions occurring inside a motor vehicle.

In accordance with this standard, basic principles must be followed for the determination and execution of inspections and evaluation of test results according to the DIN EN ISO 105-A01 standard.
Procedure 75202 is applied to determine color fastness according to DIN 2 standard. According to this procedure, a sample of the material to be examined is exposed to artificial light under specified conditions, together with the lightfast types of blue wool fiber. Color fastness is evaluated by comparing the applied lightfast types with the change in color of the sample. Color fastness is also evaluated by comparison with the gray scale.
Procedure 75202 is applied to determine the aging behavior according to DIN 3 standard. According to this procedure, a sample of the material to be examined is exposed to artificial light under the conditions specified together with the fast-light type 6. The change in color of the sample is evaluated by comparison with the gray scale or with the aid of a colorimeter to evaluate the change in color. Other properties, eg mechanical properties, must be agreed upon for the assessment of aging.
According to the DIN EN ISO 105-B01 standard, light resistant types are used in the tests. They consist of a series of standardized blue wool fiber lightfast types, classified according to increased color fastness and identified by numbers from 1 (low color fastness) to 8 (very high color fastness). Usually only color fastness types 5 to 8 are used.
Among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it provides for businesses in various sectors, our organization also provides xenon arc lamp testing services, determining the color fastness of interior materials in motor vehicles, within the scope of DIN 75202 standard, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
