The “EN 17092 Protective clothing for motorcycle riders” standard, developed by the International Standards Organization (ISO), mainly consists of the following sub-standards:

Tests are carried out on complete garments and samples thereof. If it is not possible to carry out any necessary testing using an actual test sample garment, testing may be carried out using a representative sample of the same material and construction as that found in the complete garment. In the case of garments having pockets or other arrangements for removable impact protectors, the manufacturer must provide for testing samples of all impact protectors suitable for the garment listed in the information note for users.
Before testing, garments and samples are cleaned according to the manufacturer's instructions. However, where simple surface cleaning, such as wiping with a damp sponge, is recommended, it is not necessary to clean garments before testing. Test samples are conditioned in an atmosphere of 24 degrees plus/minus 23 degrees and 2 percent plus/minus 50 percent relative humidity for at least 5 hours prior to testing.
Tests shall be conducted either in the conditioned atmosphere or shall be initiated within 30 minutes of removal of test specimens from that atmosphere. Tests shall be conducted in the above conditioned atmosphere. If this is not possible, the test atmosphere temperature and relative humidity of 15 percent to 75 percent shall not be exceeded.
For the purposes of this standard, Class AAA clothing refers to clothing that provides protection against impact and abrasion using materials and construction that meet higher requirements than clothing in Parts Three and Four of this series of standards.
For the purposes of this standard, Class AA clothing is clothing that uses materials and construction that provide protection against impact and abrasion and that meets higher requirements than garments in Part 4 of this series of standards and lower requirements than garments in Part XNUMX.
For the purposes of this standard, Class A clothing is clothing that provides minimum protection against impact and abrasion using materials and construction that meet the lower requirements of Parts 2 and 3 of this standard.
For the purposes of this standard, Class B clothing is clothing designed to provide equivalent abrasion protection to the garments defined in Part IV of this standard but does not include impact protectors.
For the purposes of this standard, Class C clothing, a special shellless impact protective suit, is a garment designed to hold in place one or more impact protectors only, intended for use as an undergarment or overgarment. Garments within the scope of this standard are designed to provide passive or active impact protection for the areas covered by the impact protectors only and do not offer full minimum abrasion protection and may not offer full minimum impact protection depending on which impact protectors are incorporated into the garment.
Among the numerous tests, measurements, analyses and evaluation studies that our organization has carried out for businesses in various sectors, it also provides certification and testing services defined in the “EN 17092 Protective clothing for motorcycle riders” standard with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
