Hyundai Kia MS213-28 Talc Filled Polypropylene
The “Hyundai Kia MS213-28 Talc-filled polypropylene” standard, developed by Hyundai-Kia Motors Company, the oldest motor vehicle manufacturer in Korea, defines the quality of talc-filled polypropylene (PP).

This material is generally used for internal and external parts or as specified in the drawings. In this specification, the types are classified as follows in the table titled “Type and application” given in the standard:
- Type A: Talk content 20 percent
- Type B: Talc content 30 percent, glass fiber 10 percent, fine talc 20 percent
- Type C: Talc content 40 percent
- Type D: Talk content 20 percent, high flow feature
- Type E: Talc content 30 percent, extrusion grade
- Type F: Talk content 10 percent
- Type G: 40 percent talc content (for North America)
- Type H: Talc content 30 percent (for North America)
- Type J: 20 percent talc content (for North America)
- Type K: Mica content 40 percent (for China)
In terms of general requirements, parts using this material must comply with all requirements of the relevant assembly performance specification. The chemical composition and processing conditions that may affect the quality of the parts should not be changed inappropriately. Before changing the chemical composition of the material, it is necessary to consult with the material and quality departments. The final parts made of this material should be free from defects, uneven gloss, burn marks, warpage, silver lines, cracks, uneven color, flow marks, weld lines, sink marks or other defects.
To determine the detailed requirements, this material is tested using the methods specified in the standard and must comply with the requirements specified in the table titled “Detailed requirements”. The detailed requirements in the table are listed on the following basis:
