Renault 32-04-033 General Requirements for Cockpit Parts
The “Renault 32-04-033 General requirements for cockpit parts” standard, developed by the French Renault automobile company, describes the features required for the parts that make up the cockpit (dashboard, added parts, generally all the elements that make up the cockpit).

Some parts must meet additional requirements (special tests) or be subject to specific specifications, which may be indicated in the drawing, due to their function. For example,
- For painted parts or parts coated with film by immersion Renault 47-03-005 standard
- Renault 47-03-009 standard for parts coated with IMF films (insert molding) and IMD (in mold)
- Renault 32-10-028 standard specifications for airbags
- Renault standard 32-04-820 specifications for storage opening panels
- Renault 32-04-806 standard specifications for ashtrays
- Renault 32-02-811 standard specifications for ventilation vents
- Renault 31-05-001 standard specifications for steering wheel
- Renault 32-04-045 standard for bonnet/dashboard trim
- Renault 32-04-836 standard specifications for gear lever boot
- Renault 35-05-819 standard specifications for gear lever knobs
- Renault 35-05-820 standard specifications for automatic transmission repeaters
- Renault 32-00-012 standard specification for hard facing parts
If value criteria appear in more than one document, the corresponding values are those with the highest precedence in the document.
The order of precedence of the documents is as follows:
- Functional drawing
- Specific features or notes on the part drawing
- Available specifications
- Renault 00-10-415 “Manufacture and supply of products - General requirements” standard
In this standard, safety or regulatory features are regulated under the following headings:
- Flammability of the material
- Recycling and materials
- Transmission control repeater grid
- Defrosting / demisting (Regulation 672/2010)
- Cockpit heating (2001/56/CE, ECE 122)
The requirements for the production of the product are regulated in the standard under the following headings:
- drawings
- Weight
- Composition - Production of parts
- Plastic or metal parts box
- Welding and cutting situations at high frequencies
- Condition of metallic parts
- Installation conditions
- Falling during processing
- Sharp parts
- Insertion force / extraction force
- After-sales disassembly – assembly
- Links
- Mechanical connections
- Electrical connections
- Resistance of connecting elements
- Used materials
- Material selection
- Discomfort caused by the materials used
- Thickness
- Approval of visible parts by customers
- Defects and appearance
- Rework
- ratings
- Grain project review
- Shape and finish verification (volume)
- Color and appearance verification
- Texture and adhesive effect
- Touching flexibility
In addition, this standard describes some requirements under the following headings:
- Functional features
- Durability
- Reliability
The supplier must ensure that the parts comply with the description documents (drawings, product specifications, etc.). If the supplier has to subcontract certain tests, Renault must be informed of the chosen organization.
Among the numerous tests, measurements, analyses and evaluation studies carried out for businesses in various sectors, our organization also provides testing services defined in the “Renault 32-04-033 General requirements for cockpit parts” standard with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
