DIN 75 220 Test

DIN 75 220 Test

This procedure is used to determine the aging behavior of polymer automotive parts at their original mounting locations and assemblies.

DIN 75 220 Test

Therefore, it is particularly suitable for representing complex assemblies or interactions between different materials between a component or several components. It is appropriate that the variation of all the characteristics related to its use, such as shape, color, brightness, tactile, strength and the result of different degrees of thermal expansion exposed to artificial soil radiation, are more complete than DIN 75 202.

A sample is a piece of material taken before, during, or after an evaluation test. Classification according to the area of exposure is as follows.

exposure area 1

The open area (1) is the vehicle interior (eg instrument panel, rear shelf) where components are heavily exposed due to the mounting location.

exposure area 2

Open space (2) is a component in the interior of the vehicle where the mounting location (eg door linings, carpets) leaves some exposure to the component.

- OUT : Maximum temperature 42^C (Dry, Humid), Minimum – 10^C, Radiation intensity: 1.000W/m^2

– IN -1: Maximum temperature 80^C (Dry, Humid, Minimum – 10^C, Radiation intensity: 830W/m^2

– IN -2: Maximum temperature 65^C (Dry, Humid, Minimum – 10^C , Radiation intensity: 830W/m^2

Note: Cycle tests (Z) have lower temperature conditions and higher irradiation intensity than Long Term tests (D).

Cycle test (Z) cycle: 24 hours (Dry climate cycle; 15 cycles, Humid climate cycle 10 cycles)=600 hours

  • outdoor loop test (Z-OUT)
  • closed loop test 1 (Z-IN 1)
  • closed loop test 2 (Z-IN 2)

Cycle Tests (Z) are either indoor or outdoor.

Long Test (D) 240 hours

  • long-term test outdoors, dry climate during the day (D-OUT -T)
  • long-term test outdoors, humid climate during the day (D-OUT-F)
  • indoor long-term test 1, daytime dry climate (D-IN1-T)
  • indoor long-term test 2, daytime dry climate (D-IN2-T)
  • indoor long-term test 1, daytime humid climate (D-IN1-F)
  • indoor long-term test 2, daytime humid climate (D-IN2-F)

The dimensions of the room each of our partner laboratories have are as follows.

  • Extra large room: irradiation area (max. 3.600 x 2.400) mm
  • Large chamber: irradiation area (max. 2,210 x 1,620) mm
  • Middle Chamber: Irradiation Area (maximum, 1810 x 1010) mm
  • Small 1 room: irradiation area (maximum; 710 x 710) mm
  • Small two-chamber: irradiation area (max; 400 x 300) mm

Availability of these rooms may vary depending on laboratory conditions, so please check in advance.

In the test, analysis, measurement and evaluation studies carried out in our organization, national and international standards and applicable legal regulations are complied with and reliable and impartial results are obtained. Among the numerous tests carried out in this context, there are also DIN 75 220 test services.
